Whip Up a Batch of Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treats

This healthy, great tasting snack is so simple you can make a fresh batch faster than you can drive to the pet store. Just be sure to store them in your dog treat canister or they may just be enjoyed by the two legged members of your family. Made with peanut butter, pumpkin puree and flour, you could actually eat them yourself, but the human version does use butter and sugar so best let Fido enjoy these yummy dog treats.

 
 Ingredients:

 

1/2 cup Natural Peanut Butter
1 cup 100% Pure Pumpkin Puree, canned
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Stir together peanut butter & pumpkin. Add flour 1/4 cup at a time just until dough is no longer sticky.
  3. Roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment paper to 1/4″ thick. Use a cookie cutter to make treats and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes. After completely cooling, store in an airtight container or freeze for up to 3 months.

 

Dog treats stays soft, even when frozen, so keep them in freezer for a cool refreshing treat on a warm day.
