Time for Wine

What can one say about our Columbia Chardonnay besides, ‘thank you Sir, May I have another.’ Having recently visited this wonderful winery in Woodinville, WA, and learning about their processes in creating this wonderful varietal, it was interesting to note that this Chardonnay was fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures around 58°F to preserve the fruity esters.
They use a mix of hand-selected yeast strains to enhance the complexity of the citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Following primary fermentation, this Chardonnay is left on the vine for nine months until bottling, to create an enriched mouth-feel and texture, with a supple finish.
TASTING NOTES: Columbia Winery Chardonnay offers bright aromas of pear, apple and hints of tropical fruits that extend to the palate. A balanced acidity and integrated sweet vanilla oak notes create an elegant Chardonnay that is distinctly Northwest. We love this wine with Dungeness crab or Penn Cove mussels.
