The Genesis School, Longleaf Learning Center, and Genesis Preparatory School are the beginning places of great learning opportunities as well as amazing academic and personal journeys for children ages 18 months to 18 years.
Head of the Genesis School System, Dr. Missy Nurrenbrock said, “We have worked hard to instill the importance of education in all of our students, and in so doing, we have established a foundation of educational excellence that is fortified with love and support from faculty, staff, and generations of Genesis Family members.”
The Genesis School
The Genesis School was founded in 1977 with an enrollment of 40 students and a mission to teach and develop fundamental academic skills as a foundation for learning and honing the educational experience. Deeply committed to the development of the unique qualities of each child in an atmosphere of respect and understanding, the school’s main goal is to promote the excitement of learning and the development of independent thinking. The school offers a traditional approach in all academic courses, and includes instruction is music, art, physical education, Spanish, library science, and computer technology. Each year, Genesis students score at least two grade levels ahead on standardized academic tests. Athletics and opportunities to participate in a full after school clubhouse program round out the exciting day for our students.

Established in 1993, Genesis Prep welcomes students from all over the world, Grades 6-12, who demonstrate ambition, promise, ability, and a can-do attitude. Academic performance is very important, and students also experience a wide variety of classes in the Fine Arts, join numerous extracurricular activities and clubs, and participate in an extensive athletic program. A college preparatory curriculum is provided by expert teachers, and all students receive individualized attention. Students who become Panthers at Genesis Prep have a 100% rate of graduation and college acceptance, with 90% receiving academic scholarships.

Longleaf Learning Center
In 2003, Dr. Missy purchased the Longleaf Learning Center as a Pre-K option for the Genesis Family and community. The Longleaf Learning Center is designed with little ones in mind, and with faculty that proudly hold Birth to Five Florida Child Care Professional credentials, and who prepare them with core basics like writing, counting, matching, and even beginner reading skills, in preparation for Kindergarten. Youngsters need opportunities to develop creatively, as well, so singing, dancing, painting, crafting and simple computer basics are part of the Longleaf Learning plan.
Heightened security keeps the facility and the children safe, but guests are welcome to the visitor-friendly lobby located at 3035 Alachua Place, Trinity. For more information about Longleaf Learning Center, visit www.longleaflearningcenter.com, or call 727-375-2664.
With decades of educational excellence, more than 400 students between the four campuses, a 100% college attendance rate achieved by their students (90% of whom receive academic scholarships), it’s “Your Home from 18 months to 18 years…The Genesis School.”
